Transcription and Call Analysis Without Recordings
Last updated: July 15, 2025
telli offers full transcription and conversation analysis capabilities without storing or accessing call recordings, ensuring data privacy and compliance, even when the recording feature is turned off.
How does transcription work without a recording?
Our system uses real-time streaming transcription. This means that audio is processed live, during the call, without ever creating or storing a full audio file:
No batch transcription: We do not record the full conversation and process it afterward.
No recording generated: The conversation is never saved as a full or partial recording.
Real-time processing only: Incoming audio is streamed in small fragments (audio bytes) and transcribed immediately into text. This stream is transient and not stored.
As a result, no audio recording exists at any point in the process — not during the call, not after.
